It is important for everyone to have regular eye exams, regardless of your age or physical health.
When Dr. Keener examines your eyes he is doing more than just checking to see if you need glasses or contact lenses. During the complete comprehensive eye exam he will not only determine your prescription for eyeglasses or contact lenses, but he will also check your eyes for common eye diseases, determine how your eyes work together as a team, and evaluate your eyes as an indicator of your overall health and well-being.
Facility and Equipment
Dr. Keener has been practicing optometry at this location for over 36 years and our office is “homey” and comfortable. It’s location benefits many of our patients, who work in the downtown Walnut Creek area but is still very convenient for our patients who come from Oakley and Alameda.
Metered parking is available in front of our office, on Bonanza St., as well as two parking garages located on Locust St., one at the intersection of Civic Dr. and Locust St., and one at Mt. Diablo St. and Locust St..
Our state of the art equipment includes a non-contact tonometer, the “eye care” hand-held contact tonometer, a visual fields analyzer and a panoptic ophthalmascope.
